Gothic Arch Chocolate

I'm afraid I forgot to do the Gothic Arches Friends Challenge last week, partly because it was such a busy week with plenty going on here but as soon as I visited this Sunday and saw the theme was chocolate, I could not resist! Much like having a box of chocolates in the house really, I just can't seem to leave them alone either!!

Here is the link for the Gothic Arches site!

I used some gorgeous brown velvet, layered it up with Fast2Fuse and a brown background and did machine quilting on top using one of the decorative stitches on my sewing machine. Then cut out the arch shape. I found a vellum image from the LostArtCreations Artistic Muse sheet which was also mainly brown and she definitely looked lilke she could do with some cheering up in the form of chocolate. I added the Chocolat Besnier text (from an Altered Pages sheet) and size 8 seed beads to make her necklace and then the decorative flower and button. The Delicious text was printed on vellum and stitched down and I then filled it with Glossy Accents Sepia to make it stand out. The edges of this Gothic Arch were satin-stitched by machine.
It almost looks good enough to eat!! Maybe I should just have one more chocolate to stay in the mood!!
