Me and my doll Gothic Arch


The new theme, set by Mandy, on the Gothic Arches Challenge is Me and my doll.

Those of you who know me well, will realize that children are not really my thing at all and as a consequence I don't have many images featuring them. So I selected to interpret this theme in a slightly (no, let's be honest here, in a radically) different way and sneeked in that which I really love i.e. romance and roses.

This arch is made on a background of a paper/fabric collage made with stamped quotations of love, images of roses, vintage music and text. I added an image from Alphastamps Happily Ever After Sheet which I simply fell in love with as soon as I saw it. The little Eros like figure is from the same image. I added the text: You're my Doll! with my trusty Dymo Writer and also added pink German scrap at the bottom and a pink scrap star at the top. That one is held down with a bead and the text is surrounded by beads too. The sides are finished by zig-zag machining in pink.
