It has been raining solidly this week and as a result the burns and North Esk river in the Penicuik Estate are running fast and high. Flora and my other walking companion were very far from convinced that we should be walking at all! I must admit to enjoy walking in the rain. It was wet but not cold or windy and after many years of dog walking I have come to appreciate the gentle steady wetness coming down. It helps that we have all the gear to stay dry. Even Flora has her very own pink (of course!) coat.
I totally agree - as long as it is not torrential walks in the rain can be very calming...
