Journal Quilts

I have been making journal quilts since 2004 (12 years!) and here are some of my favourites in reverse chronological order. I have lost count of how many journal quilts I have made over the years but it's running into the hundreds, and yet, I never seem to get fed up with them.

The Last Dance
One of a pair of A4 journal quilts made for the JQ competition organized by Grosvenor Shows with the theme of Dance. They received the Runners-Up Prize.

One of 4 journal quilts made for the 2008 Houston Quilt Show when the theme for our journal quilts was The Four Elements. The above one was the Air JQ. The Flames of Passion one was selected for exhibition. That one and the Earth version are now both sold. This was the only year there was a jury to select which journal quilts would be shown.
Venice Quilt made from 9 of the 2008 Journal Quilts made for the Contemporary Quilt Group. Each individual journal quilt was sized 12" square.
