After a few stressful days we decided to take the dogs for a long walk along the lane last night even though the sky didn't look particularly inviting.
But it didn't take long before the light became brighter and we could enjoy the wonderful views towards West Linton from our high up vantage points
And the sky itself became the most beautiful image to be seen.
Lots of wildflowers are in bloom just now and they seem to be better than ever this year. Could it be the idiotic weather patterns we've been having? This is cow parsley
and here are the cows to match. To my delight the field is full of both your everyday sort of cows as well as Highland cattle and even better, they all have calves gambolling around them. They are very skittish so no close-ups sadly because as soon as I moved closer to the wall the cows came to the rescue and herded away their babies!
