Autumn Glory

It was a beautiful day as seen by these 4 pictures that together embrace the day, with the first 2 taken during the morning dog walk and the next two during the late afternoon one. In the morning it was still slightly foggy and once again I was stunned by the sheer amount of spider webs. Spiders must outnumber human beings by many millions to one. Our neighbours' field seemed to consist entirely of webs, strung delicately in among the heather

I was pleased to spend most of the day outside enjoying the brilliant sunshine. It was warm, almost 22 degrees Celsius. A real gift at this time of year, and it meant another coatless walk at the end of the afternoon, and this time an opportunity to admire the cloudscapes in the sky. I have the vague idea this might be called a mackerel sky, but am no expert. Whatever it's name, it looked stunning.

Hello Frieda,
What an enchanting walk! That is a lot of spider webs! The thought that there are much more spiders than humans makes me shiver! lol!
What beautiful sky too! I do not know about a "mackerel" sky...so I looked it up. I guess when altocumulous clouds appear. I went to Wikipedia...it was interesting!
Thanks so much for sharing and for teaching me something new.
