Embrace

Our mission this week for Joggles Art Journal Adventures was to use triangles and I did this by using 2 Stencilgirl Products stencils in the background, i. e. M081 Rows of Triangles and M139 Diamonds and Triangles Mini 

A quotation I wanted to use popped up this week on my 2017 Flow calender. It is by Elizabeth Gilbert of Eat, Play, Love fame and I found an image that seemed to suit the words: "Embrace the glorious mess that you are"  on a detail of Hieronymus Bosch's painting The Garden of Earthly Delights.

Some outlining was done with black and white markers as well as a shiny blue one and the spread was done. I'm working in a 5.5 x 8.25" lined notebook that I have converted into an art journal by glueing down the pages and using a lot of gesso. Despite that the lines can still be seen here and there, specially when taking pictures but I don't mind that.  I have found a supply source for these small journals and enjoy using them.
