New and different mushrooms are shooting up all over the forest and the dog walk is taken up with finding them. They are mainly hidden deep into the forest and we look for flashes of brown, red and, as in this case, white. Then we venture into the undergrowth to take pictures. Flora has no idea why we suddenly divert from the path but she is game for anything.
We found a lovely collection of porcelain mushrooms. We had discovered them a few days ago growing up a tree in Penicuik Estate but these were on the forest floor in Deepsyke Forest.
