Fabric and Colour Combo ATCs and a fabric PC

Despite all my days out I did find time to do a few more ATCs for various swaps as the away days did not actually take all day and during this time of the year the light is good enough to continue working in my studio till 10pm. First I made 3 fabric ATCs for a new group I joined recently on Yahoo, entitled FabricinAlteredArt. This swap had to be fabric and on a Summer theme. It's a bit depressing making them while the gale and wind rampage around the house but hey, that's summer in Scotland. On my cards it looks a lot more sunny! All the images are from a vellum sheet by Bmuse and the background will be familiar by now as these are the absolute last leftovers from my May fabric collage with one which is actually from the March one. Then I started work on the next Colour Combination for the Mailartbydesign Yahoo group. It's burgundy and green and now that these are also finished I'm mailing three lots for this swap (black/white, pink/green and burgundy/green) to Debby and forget about it for a while as I'm well ahead! The pictures on the above two are both from Alphastamps

The fabric collage background for this one was made during a demonstration I did in Purely Patchwork when I taught my fabric ATC class. I have to admit that this is one colour Combination I would usually leave well alone so I was a challenge. However now that they are finished I actually really like them so I might well try and play with these colours again some day. The next 2 feature a fabric lady from Divasdeste and the The Theatre comes again from Bmuse.
I still have a lot of the background left over and used a portion of it to make ATC no. 65 in my 100 ATC project. Called Where is the woman now? it uses a transparency from Altered Pages. Finally I also managed to fit in making a fabric postcard for Kate North who kindly bought the Show Guide for the National Quilt Championships, Sandown, where I won the prize (see previous post). It was featured with picture in the guide as well as another of my quilts so it will be a lovely reminder of this event. The card uses a previously made background where I ironed a yellow fabric to Fast2Fuse, couched a large collection of yellow yarns on top and then added a lovely lady image from Divasdeste. I beaded her hair ribbons and surrounded her with flower trim which I bought in Utrecht, the Netherlands, during my last visit to my mother. I ironed a backing fabric on the other side of the Fast2Fuse and zigzag stitched around all the edges with yellow thread on the machine. Kate received it safely today and luckily likes it!
