I printed out the images I selected to self-adhesive fabric sheets from Crafty Computer Paper and adhered them to my pre-quilted backgrounds, both velvets, one in purple and one in blue. I also printed out the title Gothic Angel for one of the arches while I found a paper quotation for the other arch, which also received some silver trim at the bottom (from Lost Art Creations) as well as silver seed beads. The final touch was some knitting yarn, couched around the edge of the first arch and zigzag stitching around the other one, and the addition of a silver and purple rose at the top of the respective arches.

Arches for Lisa
Finally finished my arches for Lisa today. She is my partner this month in the OhMyGothic Yahoo group where we are swapping 2 arches with our partners each month. Lise is really into cemetary angels, and actually produces lovely collage sheets on this and other subjects. It seemed a bit silly to make my arches for her using her own images as she gets to see these every day so I started a search around my supplies as I was certain I had images she would like and I re-discovered my Enchanted Mercantile CD featuring cemetaries and related imagery and I used images from this for both my arches.

I love the arches you made for Lisa. Truly gorgeous work.
Debby
Frieda, both of these are gorgeous. I really love the second one - what an extraordinary color combo!
