Waiting for 2010

Another year is coming to an end. And the world around us remains a very beautiful place. I love waking up to this white and immaculate world, sparkling with snow crystals. We've got food, drink, books, electricity, and each other. What could signal a better start to 2010?

I leave you with this quotation and look forward to greeting you anew in 2010!

"Time has no divisions to mark its passage; there is never a thunder-storm or blare of trumpets to announce the beginning of a new month or year. Even when a new century (or decade!) begins, it is only we mortals who ring bells and fire off pistols" (Thomas Mann)
