Snowdrops in Dawyck

A gorgeous blue sky this morning so we went to Dawyck Botanical Garden for a long walk. I was there just over a week ago and at that time there were some snowdrops to be seen but nothing like the glorious display we were treated to today. It's fabulous to see them in such large sways. If only we could get the same effect in ourown garden. We have planted plenty but they need time to settle in and multiply.

Even then we will probably not see anything like the above picture in our lifetime!

Our visit today really brought on a spring mood, despite the fact that a dusting of snow was covering the surrounding hills. I'm looking forward to spending lots more time in Dawyck over the coming months seeing the plants come to life, the arrival of the leaves on the trees, and specially the flowering of the rhododendrons and the azaleas!

Longing for Spring here too. Will be awhile yet. Beautiful photos can almost smell the fresh air.

What earthly beauty! The snowdrops look amazing all together. I don't think I have ever seen such a gorgeous display of them before.
The lovely green grass and the moss on the tree look wonderful too.
My daffodils are all blooming now for 3 weeks. The buds are out on all the trees, but we really haven't had winter yet!
I hope you are doing well.
Hugs,
Terri
