Stitching the Day away

I dedicated the day to uninterrupted sewing to make a start on that secret project I mentioned a few days ago and for which I have a strict deadline. So it was nose to the grindstone or rather foot to the sewing machine pedal. It's quite surprising just how much you can do in a day, providing of course you don't do much else. And I didn't want to take a break to go and search for my daily blip photograph. So I grabbed a bunch of papers i had made using my gelli plate and chose the one I liked best  and photographed that one. Which happened to be the above image made using a mask (the figure) and my 8 x 10" gelli plate.

I can't begin to tell you how much I love my two plates (I also have a 6 x 6") and I wish I could get the circular one but it's not yet available in the U.K. The very large rectangular one (10 x 14") is on my Xmas list! But no playing with them for now till I feel the quilt I'm making is well on it's way! Everything is going suspiciously well which makes me worried!

Great ideas here. Looks like a product for me to buy. Have you tried the gelli plate on fabric yet?
