Indoor Rays of Sunshine

The weather outside is pretty miserable specially after being spoiled with sunshine yesterday, so an indoor blip was called for. Fortunately the tulips that are growing in a pot on the kitchen windowsill are still going strong. They are nearing their end though and that means the petals have fallen open and reveal the beautiful heart of the flower.

By sheer coincidence I also wanted to show you the sketchbook I made for Lenna's birthday as she has received it so I'm no longer spoiling the surprise. And lo and behold there are tulips on there too, in the form of a stamped image. I love it when things come together in such a serendipitous way.
The sketchbook itself was made using the bottom part of a paper bag and following the instructions given by Roben Marie Smith in her class for the 21 Secrets group last year. That particular 21 Secrets is now done and dusted but the good news is that another series is starting on the 1st April and yes, I have already signed up.
