Whatever you were celebrating today it was a glorious day for it. The sun was high in the sky, the first daffodils have started to flower, spring lambs were cavorting in the fields, the first green has appeared on the roses and we had a wonderful outing to
Dawyck Botanical Gardens. Yes, it's too early for any but the early flowering rhododendrons but there was much else to admire as you can tell by the pictures. The day is in fact way too lovely to spend more time indoors than is strictly necessary so I'm just leaving you with the pictures and am returning to the garden where there is much to do, not least planting some treasures we just happened to pick up from Dawyck plant sale area.

Otherwise known as skunk cabbage. Love how the sun shone through it. |

What a treat! Thank you for sharing your delicious early spring photos. I have always loved the photos you share from Dawyck but even more so now that you took me there last September. What a gorgeous garden.
oh what beautiful photos! Here I am still waiting for something to bloom. We got behind because of the awful long winter weather. Today made up for it though with gorgeous warm temps and sunshine so I too had to spend as much time as I could outside:)
