We took a trip to the new museum recently (28th July) opened in Biggar and I must say I was very impressed. Money was raised from local sponsors and contributors, and the museum is run by volunteers. The information was conveyed in most impressive ways and if you are interested in patchworks the museum has 2 amazing examples. There were also some wonderful recreated little shops. We then had a lovely lunch in The Big Red Barn and afterwards made our way to Dawyck Botanical Gardens where all these pictures were taken. All this in on and off sunshine! The rain held off till we arrived back home.
