Walking the Garment District and High Line Park in New York

We started our day with a walk through the garment district, accompanied by Paula Nadelstern. Our first visit was to the company that produces her fabric lines: Benartex, and was followed by visits to a beadshop, one of trimmings, a glorious fabric shop called B&J Fabrics (where I found my dream fabric!) followed by a glorious fabric flower producer: M&S Schmalberg. After all that walking and buying exhaustion we had a meal at an amazing Jewish place: Ben's Deli

There was still lots left of the afternoon and Jane and I had our hearts set on walking the High Line Park and all the images you see here are from our walk. Loved the art, as well as the trees and emerging spring flowers. In the summer time when all the plants and flowers are in full bloom this must be even more beautiful.  We came off it at the very end and had a lovely coffee before walking all the blocks back to 39th Street and our hotel.
