Going with the Flow

The July theme continues on The Documented Life Project 2016. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to manage to do for it in the coming weeks as I have already veered off subject considerably this week. Our theme is: Vote Yes - saying yes to new experiences. The art challenge was to use a stencil (I had no problems with that bit!).

I wanted to go light hearted on my pages and was inspired by a rabbit that managed to penetrate the defences of our garden. We fenced  it off completely not long after we moved here and the fencing has stood up well as no rabbits have been inside the garden since. However due to all the workmen doing the walls and roof at the moment the gate is open quite often and this little rabbit saw it's chance and came inside to snack on all the tasty offerings of plants and flowers. I saw it again this morning while in my painting shed. It seemed very happy and I loved seeing it, but somehow it will have to be cornered and taken to other premises.

Anyway this rabbit was having a new experiences and going with the flow so I captured it's joy on these pages.

The background was painted and stencilling using L434 Loopy Ladders stencil from Stencilgirl as well as S371 Paste Paper. . I added collage using pieces of my under paper to imitate grass and then added the rabbit. I used hand made paper for the shape and then painted + stencilled it with patterns from the L231 Tribal Hand stencil. . Additional collage was done with pieces of deli paper that was previously stencilling in black using the large stencil from the November 2014 Stencilgirl Club.

I added rubber stamping with small black dots as well as the text stamp from the TIME set by Creative Ex[ressions. It reads: "Whether it's the best of times or the worst of times it's the only time we/ve got". 

Finally I added the exotic postage stamp and did outlining with black and white markers.
