I had one of those wonderful telephone calls last night that I’ll probably never forget. My quilt Flowers in Bloom as seen above is the Overall Champion of Quilts UK. It also won 1st Prize in the Small Wallhangings section, the Advanced/Professional Quilter Award and finally the Embellishment Award. It came as a total surprise and left me floating on air for the time being. Amazingly this is 25 years since I first won a Champion Quilt in Perth in 1998.
The show is on from today(Thursday) till Sunday at the Three Counties show ground in Malvern. Wish I could be there!
