Snow storms

Truely atrocious weather has hit us and I enjoyed looking at it from my cosy studio. I took some pictures through the window as it was much too wet and windy outside and I did not want to expose my camera to such conditions.

As the window was covered in water droplets I unwittingly achieved quite an interesting effect, taking pictures through this. It seems to have made the pictures quite vintage looking although I can assure you I did not move back in time. They really were taken today!
Can you see all the birds in the picture above. We spend a fortune in bird nuts and seeds but in return I get a great view from the studio at all the birds and sometimes we have literally dozens of them.
We also have a bird bath although in this weather I'm sure they are not silly enough to dive in! It looks lovely covered with a layer of snow!

And by the way, amazingly this is my 250th post since I started blogging. I want to say a HUGE thank you to all my regular readers. I really appreciate your visits and comments. Blogging has truely enriched my life and I love sharing my artful life with all of you!

Wow! Those photos are gorgeous, especially the closer one of the birdbath. They look very old, and a little spooky ... make me think of some of the really old creepy houses in the southeast of the US, like in Savannah, GA or Charleston, SC. I love watching the weather go crazy from the inside of my home, too.

And it's a pleasure being able to come and share your blog! Thanks for inviting us! Those photographs are beautiful; I love that layered effect created by the veil of droplets on the window.

Amazing Frieda! Yes I see all of the birds and love your fabulous view from your studio - how inspiring it must be! You've inspired me to go fill up the bird feeders! Thanks - I enjoyed reading and will visit again!
