Brown and Blue ATCs

The colours for this month exchange of ATCs with the Colour Groupies were brown and duck egg's blue and my cards have now safely landed with Caryl, Tristan, Lenna and Debby so I can reveal them to you too. These are very much fabric ATCs and it was lovely to use so much of my very favourite material again.

I used a brown pre-pleated material for the background and quilted this with blue thread. I added torn pieces of a blue fabric with flowers by stitching it on and added images to the various ATCs (transparencies and fabrik/paper images, all from Bmuse). These were also stitched on and then I added size 11 seed beads around the images. I searched for suitable texts for all the ATCs which was glued on. I also added self-adhesive butterflies. The fabric was layered on watercolour ATC sized paper and the ATCs were finished by satin stitching around the edges, followed by more seed beading.

As is now traditional I also made an ATC in this series for my 100 ATC project! This one is no. 82 and is entitled: She coloured a little. Made in exactly the same way as described above and using another transparency from Bmuse.
