There's a Fairytale ATC swap on the
Alphastamps Yahoo group and as it was me who suggested it I really wanted to take part despite the fact that I should be working on my larger quilts. So I took some time out today to make my cards and now I had better sign up!

The first one is called
No Rose without Thorns and uses an image from
Alphastamps Happily Ever After fabric sheet as well as roses from
Sleeping Beauty #3 sticker sheet and the black rose is from the
Roses #1 sticker sheet. I've totally fallen for the sheets in sticker form as I love the fact that the background remains partly visible through the sticker. I can feel I need a lot of the Alphastamps sheets in sticker form now!! The background is a yellow cotton, which I stamped with an green ivy stamp and then hand quilted. The fabric image was stitched on and of course the stickers are self-adhesive. After layering the card with cardstock, the edges were finished with machine zigzag stitch and hand beading using size 11 seed beads and the holes made by the zig-zagging.

The next ATC is called
Let's run away together and features a green fabric background which was layered up with wadding (batting) and machine quilted. To this added an image from
Alphastamps Midnight #2 sheet and a mouse from the
Cinderella Borders Sticker sheet. Cindarella herself was stitched on. The text is done on a Dymo writer, black lettering on a transparent background and this too is self-sticking! Again the card was layered up with cardstock and finished as described above!

The same background was used for the next card:
One day my prince will come. The image is from
Alphastamps The Ball#2 sheet and has been glued on. The Roses are from
Roses#1 Sticker sheet. All other details are as for the other cards.

The final ATC for today is called
Rosebud and uses a white velvety fabric for the background which again has been layered with wadding(batting) and machine quilted. The fabric image (from
Alphastamps The Ball#2 sheet) has been stitched and glued on and beaded. A little canvas rosebud was glued to her hand. The roses on both sides are from
the Roses #1 sticker sheet and after layering with card stock the edges were finished with black thread and peach seed beads.
More fairytale ATCs in the very near future!
