Exactly 29 years ago today I came to the U.K. from the Netherlands looking like the picture above which was taken a few months earlier by an boyfriend in Italy, San Marino to be precise. I lived an adventurous life even before I came to Great Britain. Needless to say I'm still here!!

I don't think much about this fact apart from on this one day every year but my visit to Limerick in November meant that more nostalgic memories having taken hold and flooded from my subconscious into my conscious mind. Looking back, I'm sometimes taken aback by the courageous moves I made while young, but I think the fact that I was young meant I leapt without ascertaining how deep the water actually was. Fortunately I seem to have landed on my feet most of the time and have sustained no lasting injuries from the few shallow end dips!

Hi Frieda - lovely picture - you have not changed that much. I am just catching up with your blog after the Christmas hurly burly. I agree the weather here in West Linton has been dreich - but great for catching up with unfinished project I just wish the light would last a little longer. I enjoyed catching up with your December posts with your new creative projects and some older ones - all an inspiration. Annette
