Summer is here

and it has been 24 degrees Celsius today which in Scottish terms is tropical. Needless to say I've been in the garden the whole day (stitching, don't you all think I was skiving!!) and even now (8pm) it is gloriously sunny so I don't want to spend any moment more than necessary behind this computer.

I wanted you to share in the delights though, so here is a picture of a flowering Aquilegia vulgaris or to give it its pretty common name: Granny's bonnet!!

Granny's Bonnet?! I"ve never heard of it! It's just fabulous - it looks like an Alice in Wonderland flower!

I have to find out if we can grow those here!

Hi, Its tropical here too! Far too nice to be in the studio (yes I am a almost back in). Really beautiful weather and lifts the soul wonderfully! I'll join you in stitching outside this afternoon :) we can send positive vibes to each other across the hills!
