A tale of 3 delphiniums

Delphiniums (also known as larkspur) are the towers of the cottage garden and also provide a delightful selection of blues in the garden. We have 3 different colours: deep blue, capri blue and mauve. I love the capri blue one best myself and they are all gorgeous!
Here is a quotation I really love, that mentions them as well as many other flowers:

Flowers have been the inspiration of poets and writers since time immemorial. Their very names - periwinkle, delphinium, dianthus, briar rose, heliotrope, columbine, and morning glory - spill from the tongue in sweet sounds. Flowers symbolize the evanescence of human life. They are the omens of love and hope. Of beauty and promise. Even of death. (Princess Grace of Monaco)
