Blue Moo cards

This swap is not due till November so I have really no idea why I suddenly felt the urge to make them now. Maybe because a blue mood had overtaken me.

Moo cards are so-called because of the Moo company who makes them and in the case of this Artchix Swap we are making them 1" wide x 3" high and of course we have to use Artchix images for this swap. I used a background which I originally made for my January 2007 Journal Quilt (for the Contemporary Group of the British Quilters' Guild). It was another fabric-paper collage which I had scanned in and now printed out again onto watercolour inkjet paper (from Crafty Computer Paper). This was cut to size and images from Artchixstudio's Snowflake Kisses sheet were glued on. I then layered the cards with blue felt and added transparent fabrics on top, 3 white ones and 3 turquoise ones. These fabrics had white glitter and blue stars already in them (very handy!).

I added watercolour paper as the backing and machine stitched around all edges. Finally I glued on suitable vintage texts to all the cards.

Hi Frieda,
I haven't visited for a long time and what a treat it always is to see what you've been doing! These are gorgeous, as usual. They look very watercolorish, soft and mystical.
Lovely!
