The last roses of Macbiehill

It was hard to believe the evidence of my own eyes, but thanks to the mild weather and lack of severe frost so far this autumn, some of the roses have started to flower again. This is very exceptional here in the Scottish Borders as one show is usually all we get. But Sally Holmes has put on another growing spurt and hopefully we will be able to enjoy this beauty a little longer before the proper onset of winter.

It made me feel really uplifted to see her brave attempt to defeat the seasons!

Wow, what a trooper! I hope you're able to enjoy them for a little longer!
