Another winter walk

Sitting in the house for such a long time (more than 10 days now and thus breaking a record for the longest snow period since we've lived here!) does make you go a little stir crazy and I also needed a break from sewing so today despite the fact that we had another 2 inches of snow we went for a walk while the snow was gently falling all around us. The lane looked so lovely!

We got as far as one of the neighbouring fields in which a group of Highland cattle was huddled together in a group to eat their food and also to keep warm. They should be used to this sort of weather but I suppose that does not mean they actually like it!

The walk was very romantic bringing to mind all those wintery Dutch landscape paintings I really love, but it was equally wonderful to get back home and sit in front of the fire again!
And by the way, if you're as desparate as I am to indulge in a bit of retail therapy, I recommend staying in and giving the sale at Alpha Stamps a go (see the button in the side bar). They're even giving away a daily gift.

I am amazed! So much snow for you, Frieda. Good thing you have your art to keep you busy, but i must admit I have been enjoying your photos. Put another log on the fire and stay cozy!! xo lenna

I guess it's pretty - but it makes me cold just to look at it! LOL
