Sharing is good!

Together on the settee does not happen all that often as Miss Troi, the greyhound, does not like to share. That goes for her bean bag, any basket or chair she happens to be in, the settee. and most especially her bowl of food. But she was fast asleep when Rueben muscled in on the act!

I knew there was a good reason we bought a very large suite despite having only 2 people living in our house!! It's now very scratched and battered, but as only animals ever sit on it there does not seem to be much point to replacing it. And the scratches remind me of all the animals we've given a home to over the years and that alone makes me want to hang on to it!

Dusty is exactly the same way - no sharing of anything ever anywhere!

Adorable pic - a real keeper!

Your sofa sounds like my 'family room' carpet. It is well past 'visitor ready'salvageability and I have said a few times - once xxx (fill with name of elderly dog) has gone, as xxx is the last ever dog, we will get a new carpet....trouble is xxx has never been the last, and Biddy has broken our rule of adopting old (bafflingly less wanted) Dogs Trust dogs so the carpet is staying. We are going to have to buy a cover-all rug!

Thanks everyone, for your great comments and yes, Georgina, I so recognize that. We still have the carpet in our corridor that was in the house when we bought it, specially for the elderly animals who just follow each other one after the other. I'm so used to it by now that I would miss it!! And like you, I forsee a future filled with more animals!
