A wealth of flowers

Despite the dismal weather outside I'm bathing in beauty here in the house as I have not one but 2 bouquets brightening up the place.

I was moaning about the fact that the tulips outside are still not in flower ( have to get my tulip fix from the Yarnstorm blog) so John brought me back some yesterday to tidy us over and then this morning the doorbell rang and a huge and gorgeous arrangements of flowers was delivered.

I could see John wondering which event he had forgotten (our anniversary, my birthday??) but he was okay for now as these flowers came as a Thank You from the Contemporary Group of the Quilters' Guild for looking after the Contemporary Suitcase.

What a wonderful surprise and I love having so many flowers around. In that respect I remain typically Dutch!

gorgeous! aren't flowers the BEST EVER thank you gift?!

and tulips - ah, how I love tulips. Ours came very late this year - and lasted a very short time. It wasn't a good tulip year. I should have picked up a few at the florist to augment our meager showing!

Hope all is well with you!
