Summer Vacation ATCs

It seems like a long time since I last made some ATCs but yesterday I suddenly felt like making a fabric-paper collage and I knew the latest Alpha Stamps swap (on their Yahoo group) was on the theme of Summer Vacation so I went with a seaside theme. I overstamped the calico (muslin) background with seaside related small stamps and then used a variety of seaside themed paper napkins for the collage.

After it had dried I added the lovely ladies in their bathing costumes (from Alpha Stamps Bathing Beauties #3 and Tallulah's Bathing Beauties collage sheets) as shown and then suddenly remembered the sparkling, self-adhesive transparency sheets I bought some months ago from Create and Craft (for no other reason than that I can't resist sparkles of any sort!). I overlaid the ATCs with this and really liked the effect. My scanner was not quite as keen but hopefully you'll get some idea. I added sand dollars and a starfish charm to the cards as the final touch.

I made 4 ATCs for the swap (an extra one for our hostess) and then also made a seaside related ATC for me to keep. The image came in a giftie pack I received in another Alpha Stamps swap. Such an adorable little chap, with his boat clutched in his hands. Reminded me of the jolly sailor I'm married to!
