Another spread for my Sketchbook Project was finished today and it actually took most of the day to make as I had to wait for the various stages to dry before continuing. First I used some old magazines to make a large collage. This was then cut into two pieces for the spread and I stitched around the various shapes.
I then gessoed the pages taking care not to cover up the eyes and added fluid acrylic paints, finishing with a touch or two of gold!
The spread was glued into my sketchbook, and also stiched on (using a zipper foot so I could get into all the sides). The stamping was done with black Staz-On and alphabet stamps. The final touch was to glue on the postage stamps as shown.

This spread is awesome! I love how you really left the eyes to stand out. So glad to be back and see you once again creating something marvelous! :D
I love what you did here Frieda, awesome!
This is my absolute favorite of your sketchbook page spreads. Ethereal and beautifully composed; love the color. The stitching adds such fantastic texture. I bet it's even better in person.
