Mellow Fruitfulness

After the one day of torrential downpours and unrelenting rain the sun has come back although it must be said that we had quite a bit of nightfrost last night and there is a definitely nip in the air, despite the sunshine.

Whenever I pass the rosebushes with their wealth of rosehips blackbirds come flying out annoyed that I disturbed their mealtime!

The seeds of the gorse. I never noticed these before but this year they drew my eye as there are so many of them and they look deeply black.

The sedum, which is covered in bees, butterflies and ladybirds.

The cotoneaster by the wall of the house. The bees love this one too!

Well done on the TWO rosettes :) I loved the piece and can only imagine the number of weeks it took!
