Scottish Quilt Championships

The Scottish Quilt Championships at Ingliston near Edinburgh Airport is where I spend my day which was a great success as I received the Trophy for Embellishment as well as the 2nd Prize in the Large Wallhangings section for my quilt Glorious Autumn. The photo is a bit off colourwise because the spotlights play havoc with the lighting but it gives you some idea of what the quilt is like. It will be part of my upcoming exhibition in Peebles next year (see the countdown counter in the right-hand side bar.

I had a lovely day visiting the show and also an exhausting time shopping!! All very satisfying!

Wow! Frieda, your quilt is totally amazing! I adore the colors and your quilt pattern and I wish I could see it in person. I can't even imagine the time and skill it takes to do this. Your art has always amazed me. I love coming to your site and seeing what you have created.
Congratulations on your awards!
Hugs,
Terri

Congratulations for the honors that you received!!!! Your quilt is STUNNING, I can only imagine what it looks like in person.

Now, do you sell these or are you keeping a stash for a permanent exhibit somewhere? All your textile work is so inspiring and creative, I love your use of color, too!

BTW, your butterfly is gorgeous as well!

Cheers,
Cat

Thank you all so much!! And in answer to your question, Cat, yes I do sell my quilts but not at the moment as I'm preparing for a large solo exhibition next year so most everything I make at the moment and for the last 2 years or so will be there. Most (although not all of it) will be for sale and I'm thinking of opening an Etsy shop after the exhibition is over!
