Farewell to Brush

This was a very sad day as our last remaining cat died overnight. Brush was 19 years old and we knew he wasn't going to live forever, however much we might have wanted him too.

It's good that he died peacefully in his basket but we're both very upset. He was a wonderful cat, very affectionate and loved to sit on my lap in the evenings. We will miss him tremendously.

I probably won't be back on my blog for the next few days at least. Sorry about that, but most things don't seem all that important at the moment.

Oh Frieda I am SO sorry! Having lost one of my cats in October I completely understand what you are feeling. My surviving kitty hit her 20th birthday in Feb. With her each day is a gift.
XOXO

Frieda I am so very sorry that you lost your sweet kitty.
I feel your pain!! I am still mourning my loving companion Sam who passed away two weeks ago and I'm still crying.

They remain in our hearts forever.

Love and Hugs,

Susan

Dear Frieda, here is a large hug. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. The only think that helped me at such a time was to remember all the sweetness my cats brought to me over their lives . . . I hope this helps to keep Brush in your heart. with love, lenna

i am sorry for the loss of your cat of 19 years. they are family members for many of us and each dear personality a treat. we lost 3 fur family members this year starting with our 19 year old "peewee" in March. August found Hammy, a 11 year old tabby walking out after dinner and was never seen again. his buddy Boogie of 10 years , died of a broken heart. i think, a month after that on the door mat between our slippers. it has been a hard year for cats and i am sorry your boy had to leave.

I am so sorry for your loss! I can only imagine how difficult it is even though he was so old. You must have so many good memories.
Take some time to just be with it. We will all come back to see you as soon as you return.
Hugs of love,
Terri

Oh Frieda how sad.
What lovely owners you are as 19 is a wonderful age for a cat to attain.
