Venezia Journal Quilt
I'm running a workshop at the Purely Patchwork shop in Linlithgow on Sunday the 27th May and above you can see one of the class samples. The journal quilt Saudade I showed on this blog a few days ago is another one. It's a fairly exclusive way to learn from me as I'm no longer giving many workshops.

So there is no description of how I made this piece although of course you will realize that it's once again Venice that has provided me with the inspiration. The Venice image is from a commercially available fabric as I want to show that you don't always have to rely on your own imagery (although that is always an option). Purely Patchwork has many wonderful fabrics in stock with all kinds of different imagery so there will be plenty of choice for the participants of the class, on the day!

If you're interested you can sign up here.

I should be so lucky to live close to the workshop. Have a great class and lots of fun. This piece is so different from the other the students will have much to consider.

such a beautifully composed piece Frieda! and Venice-really-quel surpris!(sorry I don't know how to say that in Italian). I think of you everytime I see something on tv of Venice and only the other day watched "Summertime" with Kate Hepburn for the umpteenth time.
