This Day

Our latest mission for The Documented Life Project is to : "Add a quotation to inspire during the week". Great! I have a huge document file on my computer full of quotations that for one reason or another attracted my attention. First requirement for this project was that it needed to fit on the page. I knew that I wanted to cut out letters from magazines to make up the quotation and I also knew I wanted it to refer to the project itself, appropriate for our weekly planner pages. This one did the trick. It's by Goethe.
For the background I chose a paper that I used to clean up my brayer on when gelli plate printing the fabrics this Thursday. Although the paper lays beside my gelli plate and is meant for scrap I still find myself planning where to roller off the paint. Obsessive or what! I stamped around the edges of the page with a curlicue stamp and blue Staz-On ink.  I then cut out a wide variety of letter and formed the words: Nothing is worth more than This Day. I embellished the letters using white and black markers and watercolour markers.
The challenges for this project always seem to hit the mark with me and I love the fact that they appear around 4pm each Saturday so that I have the evening and night to mull things over which means that by Sunday morning I'm ready to start making the page. Now I have taken the photographs I'm going to tip it in to my 2014 Moleskine planner with the aid of washi tape. I love adding more things to the planner pages to compliment the challenge page during the rest of the week.
