My quilt Thread Tangle returned home from Quilt UK Malvern, held last weekend, yesterday and I decided to reward it with a photo shoot in the garden. It came back with 3 rozettes (for best Art Quilt, best Wholecloth Quilt and 3rd prize in the Small Wallhangings category) as well as a Judges' Certicate. Getting so many rozettes in one show is a record thus far and it couldn't have happened to a nicer quilt. She was a pleasure to make too, and that can't be said for all of my work, specially not the one I'm working on at the moment!
I usually only picture my quilts officially for shows, inside with a neutral background, and cropped as much as possible, but wanted to capture a more fun image for the occasion.
I think Rueben approves too.
