The garden lived up to the following words beautifully:
What visionary tints the year puts on,
when falling leaves falter through motionless air,
or numbly cling and shiver to be gone!
(James Russell Lowell)
When I returned home I discovered that such a glorious day had also produced much sadness. We never know when our days are numbered. We all face an inevitable end. All we can do before that moment comes is to live as best we can, treasure every moment, don't fret about the upsets and celebrate every breath we take. It's not always easy to live like that and I frequently fail completely but once again I will attempt to try harder.
We owe it to ourselves to make the most of our days on this amazing earth.
