Everything we see is Perspective

The theme of: A Look through my eyes - gaining new perspective, is still going strong on The Documented Life Project 2016 this week. And fortunately I still have more quotations about perspective up my sleeve although it is getting harder to think of original ideas to interpret them. Our art challenge this week was to use a sticker on the pages. I have some lovely circular stickers from Roben-Marie Smith (one of the originators of The Documented Life) so wanted to use them.
As they were circular stickers,  flowers immediately came to mind and that was the starting point for these pages, done in my 8 x 8" Dylusions art journal. First I made the background using the large stencil from this month's Stencilgirl Club.
Then I added the circular flower shapes using the S041  Mandala #1 stencil in it's entirety for the large flowers. After adding the circular stickers I then used part of the same stencil to produce the small flowers. The flower stems were made using stencil L281 Bold Flowers stencil.
I found a quotation by Marcus Aurelius (those old Romans knew a thing or two!). It reads: "Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is perspective, not the truth".  Definitely something to keep in mind at all times.
After some outlining with black and white markers the spread was done. It's far simpler than most of my art journalling pages and that means that it is the quotation that gets all the attention which was what I wanted.
