Sleeping Beauty and Threadalicious Swap

I finished making some more ATCs today, again trying to keep up with them all as the week after next I will be away in Holland. First of all cards for a swap on the www.atcards.com website called Threadalicious Too. As you may guess this is the second such swap and it is concentrating on cards using stitch as the mail element. Just yesterday my order from www.queensofcollage.com arrived and I used their Carnival pack to make the cards. I used a piece of space-dyed cotton as background, which I ironed on to Fast2Fuse, couched with fibers of the same pack and finally added a handmade bead (again that pack) and beaded some more before finally I ironed a backing fabric onto the other side of the Fast2Fuse.

I then decided to get on with the cards for the Sleeping Beauty Swap I'm hosting on www.atcards.com as several cards have already arrived and I had not made my own cards yet. I made 4 altogether, although the swap is only 3 for 3 so I could keep one. Here are the 3 for the Swap:
As you can see I had some background left from the Threadalicious Swap so put that to good use in one of the cards. The others use transparencies on top of fabric collage background and the words all come from an old childrens' book of the Sleeping Beauty fairytale.

This is the card I decided to hang on to for the moment, again it has a transparency on top of a fabric collage and you can just detect Sleeping Beauty herself before her prince kisses her awake. So romantic!
I'm also working on my Journal Quilts for the Contemporary Group of the British Quilters Guild but no finished product to show you. Also waiting for the backing fabric I ordered from www.equilter.com for a quilt which will be heavily embroidered and beaded. My hands are itching to get on with this and I have enough black wadding, now I just need that (also black) backing fabric.
