African Fabric

Today I had an artist away day as prescribed by Julia Cameron in her book The Artists' Way and visited a veritable fabric feast organized by the quilting group led by Morven Roche in Alva, near Stirling. I'm going to teach my fabric ATC class there in September so today also served to find my way there.

There was some lovely quilts to see, gorgeous cakes to eat and wonderful goodies to buy. I had a bit of a spending spree at the African Fabric stand where I met up again with Magie Relph (pictured above with some of her fabrics). I bought some beautiful indigo dyed deep blue fabric which was just what I needed for a project I'm thinking about at the moment, more fabric (because it was irresistable!!), and was further tempted by exquisite African glass beads which I simply had to have. You can read more about Magie's African trips and buy the fabric on her website www.africanfabric.co.uk

I just can't believe how creatively busy you've been! I go away to Lyon for 2 days and find so many pages of glorious colour on my return. Blissfully inspirational.
