I finally have tiime to update this blog with some more news. My article about teaching fabric ATC classes was published in the ATCquarterly magazine. This magazine, published in Canada, features news about all things ATC related and I came across it by chance one day, subscribed, got the back numbers and was then asked to write an article. Some of my own ATCs will also be featured in a future issue of this magazine.
I enjoy reading about all the groups, specially in Canada, who are meeting face to face to exchange their ATCs which is something still very rare indeed here in the UK. But I do organize swaps in the classes I teach so do get to know some faces behind the ATCs. I've got quite a few more classes booked up in various venues this year and also Spring 2008, so more opportunities to swap in person. Also don't tell anyone, but teaching these classes is so much fun, it's quite amazing I also get paid for them!!
I've also finished an ATC to send to an ATC competition. It uses the pink + lime green background made during the Loch Lomond Show Fabric ATC class. I made it as a demonstration piece and was so pleased with it. Unusually as there is not much time for these demos so the collages are not always good enough for my taste. But this one has been great andhas been used for various ATCs already, such as the pink/lime green swap on the MailartbyDesign Yahoo group, which reminds me that those returns will be coming soon. So exciting!! The image used is from Artchix.
