Virginia Spiegel's Fundraising for the American Cancer Society

Some of you will already be aware of the gigantic efforts by American quilter Virginia Spiegel. She managed to raise more than $130.000 with her Fabric Postcard project, called Fiberart for a Cause. We all made fabric postcards which we donated to her and they were sold both online and at the Houston Quilt Show for $30 each. It really took off with a vengeance and was a huge success. You can read all about it on her website.

She has now started a new project (where does she get all her energy from??!!). If you donate a minimum of $25 to the American Cancer Society you receive the access code to her e-book: Art, Nature, Creativity, Life, which reall does "offer inspiration for the creative soul in all of us". Virginia is a very gifted artist and not only in visual media but also with words. She writes beautiful haiku and in this online book she shares these, her stunning nature photographs and her art with us all. If you want to have a look for yourself here is the link which tells you all about it:
Cancer patients and cancer research need all the money we can give it, regardless of countries and borders, and the book is a marvelous bonus. I stayed up till way past midnight yesterday, just so I could keep on reading.
