Blue and Silver ATCs and ATC no. 76

I spend today having a bit of a rest from hand quilting (as my fingers really ache!) and made the last set of ATCs for the Colour Combination Swap hosted by Debby H all this year on the MailArtbyDesign Yahoo group. December's colours are Blue and Silver and as I had some left from the fabric/paper collage I made for the Alphastamp Fabric Postcard (see an earlier post) I decided to use this. However it figures no silver. But I had a lovely Banner and Borders stamp from Alphastamps and this gave me an idea.

I used some silver lame fabric, layered it with Fast2Fuse (follow the manufacturers' instructions) and machine quilted it with one of my machine's decorative stitches which looked a bit like snowflakes to me. I then cut out ATC sized pieces. I also cut ATC sized pieces from the fabric/paper collage. I stamped the Banner and Borders stamp on these (using blue Staz-On) and cut out the centre square from these. I layered these on top of the silver background and also inserted angel images from the Alphastamps Angel Sisters paper collage sheet, cut to size of the above mentioned opening. I added a flower sequin to the bottom of the stamped image on each card, held down with a silver size 11 seed bead.

Finally I ironed a backing fabric onto the other side of the Fast2Fuse and machine satin stitched around the edges using a variegated turquoise/white thread.
Of course I could not resist making another one for me to keep in my 100 ATC project and this one was no. 76, called Angel Theatre.
