Dotty Challenge

Helga Strauss, the owner of Artchix Studio has started her own blog and of course I immediately went and had a good look. Lots to see and news of Artchix swaps and other happenings on the Artchix Studio Yahoo group too. I've added the address to my blog list on the right hand side of this blog.

But the first thing that caught my attention was Helga's play with dotty images. She made drawings using various methods and then made a collage with them. Her work brought my newest quilt Circles, Spots and Dots to mind, which was exhibited at the National Quilt Championships, in June 2008, in Sandown, U.K. This quilt is made entirely with fabrics from my dotty fabric collection. The quilt won a Special Merit rozette at the championships and will also be an upcoming project for the Fabrications magazine sometime in the future! I'll let you know when it's actually published in due course!
