Let it snow!

Although things are apparently a lot worse in the south of the UK for once, still we're having quite a lot of snow here in the Scottish Borders too. John will have to make his way to work somehow and hopefully the main roads are more passable than our tiny one track lane but I'm staying close by the fire, quilting and beading away.

I did have a venture outside earlier today so that I could entertain you with the beautiful snowy pictures, mostly taken at the height of a snow storm so that they got that spooky, mysterious air caused by snowflakes clinging to the camera lense.

I love the visual aspect of snow, it somehow seems to wipe the earth clean and presents the world in a different and clearer light.

But of course the dogs still have to be walked and don't they look a pretty picture, emerging from the gloom?

Why does snow always look so much more exciting and peaceful somewhere ELSE?!

I'm sure we get the same snow ;-)

Yours is beautiful and inspiring, while mine is simply something to move.
