Necklace from BeadSage

I told you earlier about attending a workshop about a week or so ago, at the Beadshop Haddington, for which I fought my way through the snow, which by the way is all gone now! I did quite a lot on the day but had to finish the necklace off at home as there were some more rivolis to bezel and herringbone tubes to make but here is the finished product. The original necklace by Peter was in silver and black but I selected to make mine in reds, blacks and silver.

The workshop was given by the Bead Sage and you can buy his kits here. I love going to beading workshops as I just have to turn up and enjoy the day. Also beading supplies do take a lot less space than the heaps of stuff I take with me when I'm teaching quilting or ATCs. You can have a look at pictures of the class with glimpses of me (mainly the back of my head, the blond hair is a give-away!) on Peter's blog.

Not quite sure if this is the sort of necklace (called Sasha by Peter, the Bead Sage) to wear when going to buy the papers in the village but I'm sure that one of these fine days, the right occasion will pop up to show off this sparkler!
I've also been busy making jewellery as part of my membership of the Alphastamps Design Team and I will be showing these to you here, in the very near future!
