From 12 to 22 degrees

from winterwoolies to t-shirt and shorts, from winter wonderland to sunshine and tulips (yes I know this should read roses but they aren't out yet!). And all this in the space of one week as the title refers to the huge temperature swing in degrees Celsius between last week and this.

I love both sunshine and snow but at this time of the year prefer the sun! Having said that, this sudden shift does play havoc with the system. The duvet had to be changed from a 24 tog to a 6 in order to be able to sleep! And us Scots are more geared up for the cold than for the heat. But the parasol is up on the terrace and the day was spend weeding and removing the seedheads of the daffodils. And before we knew it the day was done!! By chance I am reading the latest issue of Where Women Create, the marvelous magazine from Stampington, and was reunited with one of my favourite quotations: "Time is a companion that goes with us on our journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again" (by Jean-Luc Picard). Oh so true and also so frightening when you start to think about it!!

I used some of my time to take pictures of our now green lane, a tree now with leaves and an image of the end of our garden where we planted willows when we first moved in. Now they are gently swaying in the breeze like a ship in full sail!

But my favourite picture as ever is the one filled to the brim with colour! Oh for those tulips, if only I could move in!

It's such a dramatic change. Your spot of earth is so lovely in snow and sun.
