Macbiehill continues to be plagued by wind and rain but from time to time the sun pops up in between the showers and whenever it's shining I go for a walk around to see how my plants are growing.
Today the very first sunflower is out. Really very early as usually we don't get to see them till August at the earliest but the seeds were planted early this year now John is retired and the dry and warm spring might also have helped.
I was reminded by its presence of the fact that I stil have not gotten around to showing you my final pieces made as a member of the Alpha Stamps Design Team, as one of the pieces concerned was an ATC dedicated to sunflowers. It uses an image from the Alpha Stamps Sunflowers collage sheet in the shape of a transparency over one of my fabric - paper collages. The clock charm is also available from Alpha Stamps, and is a good accompaniment for the text which reads: "Ah, Sun-Flower, weary of time". The ATC was finished with a binding in the shape of a green ribbon (also from Alpha Stamps) as well as size 11 yellow sed beads.
